I Am Not Jenny

About the Book
Jenny is a girl who likes to pretend. When she sits down for breakfast and announces to her mother that she is not Jenny but rather a royal princess, magic happens when her mother scratches her head in bewilderment. She turns into a princess with all the appropriate accoutrements. As Jenny goes through her day, she becomes a knight fighting a fierce dragon, a deep sea diver, a helicopter pilot, and a chemist – all by magic unwittingly initiated by the people around her. The book comes to a climax when her chemistry experiment backfires but results in a satisfying conclusion.
This is the one and only fiction book that I’ve written (so far). When I first started writing for children, I thought that my genre would be picture books but it looks like I was wrong. You never know where your writing will take you once you give it a chance!
The book was inspired by my daughter who was pretending to be a princess when she was 4 years old.
